Axcel Dexxon Lozenges are a medication used to provide relief for various mild infections of the mouth and throat. Each pack contains 10 lozenges.

The active ingredient in Dexxon lozenges is dequalinium chloride, an antiseptic that effectively kills a broad range of bacteria, yeasts, and fungi associated with these types of infections. By sucking on a lozenge, the dequalinium chloride is directly applied to the infected area, helping to alleviate symptoms.

These lozenges are commonly used as throat lozenges or cough drops to temporarily suppress coughs, lubricate the throat, and soothe irritated tissues. They can be especially helpful for relieving sore throat symptoms typically associated with the common cold.

For adults and children over 10 years of age, it is recommended to suck one lozenge every two to three hours, as needed. However, it is important not to exceed eight lozenges within a 24-hour period.
